Italian robbed 5 banks threatening ballpoint pen

“Clean up” five banks in two weeks. Impossible? Can only geniuses or professional fraudsters cope with this task? But no. An entrepreneurial resident of Italy made a fortune by robbing five Roman banks, threatening staff ... ordinary ballpoint pen.

Some thief from the town of Velletri managed to crank up this difficult “business” thanks to rather strange tactics. The robber went into the bank branches, put a pen to the throat of the cashier and demanded that they give him all the money. Naturally, the employees, being sure that the criminal had a knife in their hands, panicked and were forced to give cash. Thus, the thief, whose name the local police are in no hurry to call, “looked” at five branches from December 23 to January 14.
An unusual robber was detained only after he tried to "clean up" the insurance agency. Unfortunately for the thief, the employees of this company were not a timid people, and then they completely understood what the criminal really was trying to threaten. They tried to stop the man, but he managed to get away from the chase. But soon Roman carabinieri, and in particular the special department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the leadership of Antonio Pignataro, were already closely engaged in it. According to the descriptions of the brave employees of the insurance agency, the operatives managed to compose a robber's identikit, and later detain him and place him under house arrest.

News of the miracle robber hit the press a few days after it became known about another strange theft. In the vicinity of Florence, one of the bank's branches was attacked. Eyewitnesses reported to the police that the masked man went into the building with a gun and a knife in his hands. He managed to take about 4 thousand euros from the cash register.

As it turned out later, the old woman turned out to be a hijacker, who demanded all the available money from the office staff, waving a toy gun. Putting the money received from the cashier in her bag, her grandmother spoke in pure Italian and even explained to the workers that she was pushed for such a desperate step by the lack of money for medicines.

“We didn’t follow her because we were afraid that she would use a knife,” the shocked bank employees recall, adding that the old raider was walking away from the crime scene with almost a walking step. Surprisingly, the identity of the police robber has still not been identified.

Last week turned out to be very "rich" in stories related to robbery. Another case occurred in the Italian town of Bari, which is located in the south of the country. Last Monday, an unknown person entered the bank and, threatening with a weapon, demanded cash. However, this criminal failed his health. The man had a heart attack and his victims could not save the failed thief. Luigi Abatantuono, a 37-year-old father of three children, who had a criminal background behind theft related to his theft, died of a heart attack, and did not take out a bill from the bank.
